§ 12.4.010. Application—required.

A.

Except when such person is operating under a contract with the City involving the opening of a public way, any person properly licensed pursuant to OCCGF Title 5 desiring to excavate in, cut through, access, or tear open the surface of any street, avenue, alley, sidewalk, or other public way within the City shall first file written application with the Planning and Community Development Department (P&CD).

B.

The application shall state the following:

1.

The object sought;

2.

The purpose for which the public way is to be excavated in, accessed, cut through, or broken open;

3.

The proposed area of such opening; and

4.

The exact location of the proposed opening.
