§ 17.16.19.030. Application and review procedure for independent review.

  • A.

    Submittal of application. The applicant shall submit a completed application to the Planning and Community Development Department along with the application fee as may be established by the City Commission.

    B.

    Determination of completeness. Within two (2) days of submittal, the Director of Planning and Community Development shall determine whether the submitted application is complete or incomplete and notify the applicant, in writing, of any deficiencies. If the application is deemed incomplete, the applicant has twenty (20) days to resubmit the application or forfeit the application fee. The director shall take no further steps to process the application until the deficiencies are remedied.

    C.

    Determination of compliance. Within three (3) days after a determination of completeness, the director shall approve the permit, approve it with conditions, or deny the permit based on the decision criteria established in this article.

    D.

    Applicant notification. Within five (5) days following the decision, the director shall mail the applicant the original (signed) copy of the permit and retain a copy for the public record.
